Walk&Talk (Mindfulness)

“A journey of thousand miles begins with a single step .”Lao Tzu

Counseling doesn’t have to be done in closed office. In some cases counseling service can be done in nature, walking and talking with therapist about things that are troubling you in life. A special benefit of this type of therapy can have people who are currently suffering from feelings of anxiety (social phobia, agoraphobia, panic attacks, obsessive compulsive difficulties etc.) and / or depression.

Session takes around 60 minutes, with easy walking tempo. If necessary, therapist and client can sit on a bench, so that the therapist can demonstrate a particular exercises. Fresh air, walk and talk can give a new perspective to peoples problems. Research are showing that only 30 minutes of daily walking can have multiple positive effect on persons health.

  • A positive effect on blood pressure and blood circulation;
  • Reduced the risk of certain cancerous and hearth diseases;
  • Reducing and maintaining body weight;
  • Strengthening of the joints, muscles and bones;
  • Reduced the risk of dementia;
  • Improves mood and sleep;
  • Prolongs life expectancy and mental shape.

Breathing and mindfulness exercise

This type of counseling is also ideal way for practicing breathing and mindfulness exercise. With the help of a therapist you can learn mindfulness exercise, learn to be here and now, and do not let your unhelpful thoughts to control your life. Learn how to focus your attention on what is truly important in your life, your life values.

Walk&Talk therapy is also metaphor for your life. Maybe you don’t know where are you going (or where are you now), but only walking forward you will get where you need to get, or where you can get. Moving forward together.
