Biography

I believe that effective psychotherapy begins with a genuine therapeutic relationship built on trust, understanding, and collaboration. My approach combines evidence-based psychological practice with respect for each person’s unique life experience, values, and individual goals.

International Experience

For almost ten years, I have worked within the United Nations system, providing psychological counselling and support to people from all over the world. Working daily in English with individuals from diverse cultural, religious, and professional backgrounds has strengthened my multicultural perspective and enriched my understanding of the universal and unique aspects of human experience.

Education

I completed both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Banja Luka. Following my university education, I completed a four-year postgraduate training programme in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) at the CBT Centre Banja Luka under the supervision of Dr. Igor Krnetić and Dr. Zorica Marić.

My additional specialisation in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) was completed at the Albert Ellis Institute in New York. After successfully completing both the Primary and Advanced Certification Programmes, I was awarded the international title of Associate Fellow & Certified Supervisor in 2017—one of the highest professional recognitions granted by the Institute.

Continuing Professional Development

Throughout my career, I have continued to expand my knowledge through international training programmes at the Albert Ellis Institute (New York), Beck Institute (Philadelphia), Praxis Continuing Education and Training (Florida), and City CBT Coaching College (London).

These programmes included advanced training in REBT, CBT for depression, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Coaching, clinical supervision, and other contemporary evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Clinical Supervision, Teaching and Research

Alongside my clinical work, I actively contribute to the education of future psychotherapists through individual supervision, workshops, and professional training programmes. I currently serve as an international REBT supervisor and external supervisor for CBT Centres in Banja Luka and Belgrade.

I am the author of several professional books and scientific publications in the field of psychotherapy and mental health. I am currently completing my doctoral studies in psychology, with research focused on psychotherapy, clinical supervision, therapist development, and improving the quality of mental health services.

Beyond the Therapy Room

Outside my professional work, I enjoy running, hiking, travelling, reading, and writing. I believe that both physical and psychological challenges foster resilience, discipline, and self-awareness—qualities that naturally influence both my personal life and my therapeutic practice.

Professional Philosophy

For me, lifelong learning is not simply a professional obligation but a personal commitment. I continuously integrate scientific evidence, clinical experience, and ongoing education to provide ethical, compassionate, and high-quality psychological care for my clients and meaningful support for fellow professionals.

A Commitment to Excellence

I believe the best therapeutic outcomes emerge when scientific knowledge, professional expertise, and authentic human connection come together in a respectful and collaborative therapeutic relationship.

Learning never ends—it is the foundation of meaningful psychotherapy.
