Supervision for Psychotherapists and Trainees

Professional Development

Supervision is a space where trainees, young therapists, and practitioners can reflect on their work, receive feedback, and develop their therapeutic skills in a safe, structured, and supportive environment.

01

Support for Professional Development

Supervision isn’t just a formal training requirement — it’s an opportunity to reflect on your work in a safe environment, recognise your own patterns in relation to clients, and build confidence in your own therapeutic abilities and judgement.

02

What Does a Supervision Session Look Like?

A supervision session is a space where you bring concrete cases, uncertainties, or challenges from your therapeutic work. There’s no need to prepare special material in advance — it’s enough to come with whatever is currently occupying you in your work with clients.

Together we analyse the process, identify patterns, and look for concrete guidance you can apply immediately in your further work.

03

What Does the Supervision Process Look Like?

The supervision process is tailored to the trainee’s level of experience and specific needs. Together we follow your development over time, identify recurring themes, and build increasing independence in clinical thinking and decision-making.

The goal of supervision is not to provide ready-made answers, but to develop the ability to recognise for yourself what the therapeutic process requires at a given moment, with the support and feedback of an experienced colleague.

Therapeutic Approaches I Use

Tap a name for a short explanation.

REBT

Rational emotive behaviour therapy helps identify the beliefs and thought patterns that contribute to emotional difficulties, while developing a more flexible and useful relationship with yourself, others, and life circumstances.

CBT

Cognitive behavioural therapy focuses on the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and bodily reactions. Through concrete techniques, it helps you understand the patterns that maintain a problem and develop more effective ways of coping.

ACT

Acceptance and commitment therapy develops greater psychological flexibility. Rather than struggling with unpleasant thoughts and emotions, it emphasises accepting inner experiences and acting in line with your personal values.

CFT

Compassion focused therapy is especially useful for pronounced self-criticism, shame, and feelings of inadequacy. It helps develop a warmer, more supportive relationship with yourself.

MBCT

Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy combines the principles of cognitive therapy with mindfulness practice, aiming to recognise automatic patterns and reduce the tendency to fall back into old ways of reacting.

Trainee Experiences

Experiences from trainees who have gone through the supervision process.

Beyond the thoroughly completed form, the additional conversation reinforces and clarifies contentious points in a certain way, while also leaving room for further questions and guidance aimed at building the relationship…

Jovana Dzever, MSc Psychology — REBT trainee

From the very first supervision session, I had the impression that we’d known each other for a very long time, which certainly makes the learning process easier. As for his approach, he is open, communicative, approachable, direct, funny…

Martina Gajić, MSc Psychology — REBT trainee

His authentic approach, both in the human, personal relationship and in the professional aspect, gave me the impression that he genuinely cares about how much I learn through our collaboration…

Confidentiality

All information shared during the supervision process is treated as confidential and protected in line with professional, ethical, and legal standards. A safe and confidential space is one of the foundations of quality supervision work.

Investing in Your Own Professional Development

Supervision is not a sign of insufficient competence — quite the opposite, it is a sign of commitment to quality, responsible work with clients, throughout your entire professional career.

A good therapist never stops learning — supervision is part of that journey.

How to Share the Form and Recording (Google Drive)

The Form and Recording are attached as links directly on the payment page. The instructions below explain every step, even if this is your first time using Gmail and Google Drive.

Open detailed instructions Click here for step-by-step instructions — how to create a Gmail account, upload the Form and Recording to Google Drive, share the link, and grant access.
1 If You Don’t Have a Gmail Account

Google Drive (where the Form and Recording are uploaded) requires a Google/Gmail account. If you already have one, skip this step and go directly to step 2.

  1. Open accounts.google.com/signup in your browser.
  2. Enter your first and last name, then your desired username — this becomes your new email address (e.g. [email protected]).
  3. Set a password and save it somewhere safe.
  4. Confirm your phone number when the system asks for it (for account security).
  5. Complete the remaining steps by clicking “Next” until the end — the account is ready to use within a couple of minutes.
2 Uploading the Form to Google Drive
  1. First download and fill in the Form (Word document) — available on the Payment page once you’ve selected a Supervision service.
  2. Open drive.google.com and sign in with your Gmail account.
  3. Click the blue “+ New” button in the top left, then “File upload”.
  4. Select the completed Form (.docx) from your computer or phone and wait for it to upload — it will appear on your Google Drive.
3 Sharing the Link to the Form and Granting Access

There are two equally valid methods — you only need to do ONE of them.

Method A — a link available to anyone who has it (simplest, recommended)

  1. On Google Drive, right-click the Form (or the three dots next to the file name) → “Share”.
  2. In the window that opens, under “General access”, change it from “Restricted” to “Anyone with the link”.
  3. Choose the “Editor” role — IMPORTANT, not “Viewer”, because it must be possible to leave comments and a signature directly in the document.
  4. Click “Copy link” and close the window.
  5. Paste that link into the “Form” field on the payment page (in the “Details” step).

Method B — adding my email address directly (alternative)

  1. Open “Share” on the Form the same way.
  2. In the “Add people and groups” field, type: [email protected]
  3. Set the role to “Editor” and click “Send”.
  4. Still click “Copy link” as well and paste it into the “Form” field on the payment page — the link is still needed for easier access and record-keeping.
Note: you don’t need to do both methods — one is enough; Method A is faster and recommended.
4 Repeat the Same for the Recording

The process is identical to steps 2 and 3 above — just upload an audio or video recording of the session instead of the Form:

  1. On drive.google.com click “+ New” → “File upload” and select the recording file.
  2. Wait for the upload to finish — larger video files may take a few minutes; a stable Wi-Fi connection is recommended.
  3. Share it the same way as the Form — “Anyone with the link” + “Editor” role, or add [email protected] directly.
  4. Copy the link and paste it into the “Recording” field on the payment page.
Required — comments within 48 hours: after the supervision session, within 48 hours, comments and a signature will be added directly to your Google document (Form), using the access you granted in step 3 above. You don’t need to send or check anything else — it’s enough that the link and access permission (“Editor”) were set correctly when you registered. If the form remains without comments and a signature within that period (e.g. due to a faulty link or incorrectly set access permission), the supervision session may be considered invalid and remain unsigned by the supervisor, with no refund of the amount paid — unless otherwise clearly agreed in writing in advance.
If anything above doesn’t work (e.g. difficulty sharing the link), feel free to write to [email protected] — we’ll get back to you with help.

You can add a note or question here if needed…

Detailed instructions on creating a Gmail account, and uploading and sharing the Form and Recording, are available on this page above.
Note: please make sure to grant access to the relevant documents and recordings on Google Drive (e.g. sharing setting “anyone with the link”), and only enter the link itself in the fields above.

Please check that all entered details are correct (Title, and links to the Form/Recording if applicable), before continuing.
I agree that, if I do not enter the supervision comments in the Word document on Google Drive for signature within 48 hours of the completed supervision session, the supervision may be declared invalid and remain unsigned by the supervisor, without a refund of the amount paid — unless otherwise clearly agreed in writing in advance.

Book a Supervision

A standard supervision session lasts 50 minutes — enough time for a thorough case analysis, reflection, and concrete guidance for further work. Working online provides additional flexibility and allows the supervision process to continue regardless of the trainee’s location.
