About me

Biography

I believe effective psychotherapy begins with a relationship built on trust, understanding, and collaboration. I aim to create a safe space where each person feels heard and accepted, combining evidence-based methods with respect for their unique life story.

About me

My name is Ensad Miljković, and for more than 14 years I have accompanied people through processes of change, believing that therapy contributes most when science is joined with a genuine human relationship.

As a psychotherapist and supervisor in REBT, CBT, ACT and CFT, I adapt each session to the needs, goals and pace of the person in front of me. In-person work takes place in Sarajevo (Naselje Bulevar, Stup), and I am also available online.

International experience

Almost ten years within the United Nations system — daily psychological counselling in English with people of different cultures, religions and life experiences from around the world.

Education

Psychology (BA and MA) in Banja Luka, then a four-year CBT training programme under the mentorship of Dr Igor Krnetić and Dr Zorica Marić. REBT specialisation at the Albert Ellis Institute in New York and the title of Associate Fellow & Certified Supervisor (2017).

Continuing development

Further training at the Beck Institute (Philadelphia), Praxis (Florida) and City CBT Coaching College (London) — CBT for depression, ACT, cognitive-behavioural coaching and supervision.

Supervision & research

International REBT supervisor and external supervisor at the CBT Centres in Banja Luka and Belgrade. Author of several professional books and academic papers, currently completing doctoral studies in psychology.

Outside the therapy room

Running, hiking, travelling, reading and writing — physical and mental challenges that build resilience, discipline and self-awareness, values that naturally find their place in professional work too.

Approach to the work

Continuing development is not an obligation but a way of thinking — keeping up with contemporary research so that clients, trainees and colleagues receive quality, ethical support.

Professional path

International experience +

During almost ten years working within the United Nations system, I had the opportunity to provide psychological support and counselling to people from different parts of the world. Working daily in English with people of different cultures, religions and life experiences further shaped my professional approach and developed my ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Education +

I completed my first and second cycle studies in psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Banja Luka. I then successfully completed a four-year training programme in cognitive-behavioural therapy at the CBT Centre in Banja Luka, under the supervision of Dr Igor Krnetić and Dr Zorica Marić.

I gained further specialisation in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) at the Albert Ellis Institute in New York, where I completed the primary and advanced levels of training, and in 2017 was awarded the international title of Associate Fellow & Certified Supervisor — one of the highest professional recognitions the Institute grants in the field of REBT supervision.

Supervision, training and research +

Alongside my therapeutic work, I actively contribute to training future psychotherapists through individual supervision, workshops, and professional training. I currently work as an international REBT supervisor and as an external supervisor at the CBT Centres in Banja Luka and Belgrade.

I am the author of several professional books and academic papers in the field of psychotherapy and mental health. I am currently completing my doctoral studies in psychology, and my research interests are focused on psychotherapy, supervision, therapists’ professional development, and improving the quality of mental health services.

My approach to the work +

Continuing professional development isn’t an obligation for me, but a way of thinking. I try to keep up with contemporary research and develop my own work, so that I can offer clients, trainees and colleagues quality, ethical and up-to-date psychological support.
